The Ocean Road Community Centre was formerly owned by the Kapiti Senior Citizen’s Association, the Kapiti Parents’ Association, the Rotary clubs of Paraparaumu and Kapiti and the Lions Club of Kapiti. In 2014 the Centre underwent renovations and a Trust comprising Trustees from the main user groups was formed to run the Centre. At this time, the name was changed from the Kapiti Senior Citizen’s Hall to the Ocean Road Community Centre.
The Ocean Road Community Centre is a building our community can be proud of. A number of organisations use the centre on a regular basis. Some activities are run by the Kapiti Senior Citizen’s Association. These include indoor bowls and afternoon entertainment monthly on a Friday.

The Centre was completely renovated in 2014. It is now fully airconditioned and has a capacity of 120 with chairs and tables provided. The venue has a stage complemented by a new sound system with overhead projector and rollaway screen. A fully equipped kitchen makes this an ideal location for larger functions such as birthday parties and wedding receptions.
